Teaching an old (and young) dog new tricks

Each year thousands of dogs surrendered to animal shelters, are euthanized for preventable behaviors. Behaviors such as chewing, barking, jumping, nipping, digging, peeing and pooping in the house are some of the issues I address. Most of these behaviors are self rewarding for the dog and until they are taught what is appropriate and what is not, the behaviors aren't going to stop.
Puppies as young as 8 weeks are ready to learn good house manners and annoying behaviors can be nipped in the bud at an early age. Some destructive behaviors can wreak havoc in the home causing stress on owners and other family members. Let me help you.

Basic training is the basic building block for success at home. Sit, come, stay, heel, leave it and down are some of the basic commands EVERY dog should be taught. I will teach you, the owner, good leadership skills so that your dog not only loves you, but RESPECTS you. I teach by using positive reinforcement to conquer problem behaviors your dog is exhibiting. I will discuss training goals for your dog and give you all the tools necessary to support long-term positive behaviors.
Many behaviors can be addressed in as little as one session. Sessions typically last 1 hour but may be longer depending on how well your dog is responding.
